Our Story

Project Curve Appeal (PCA) was created in 2008 by Beviyan Wilson, the CEO of our parent company Pink City Corporation. It started out as a plus size event called "Curve Appeal Beauty & Fashion Expo in November 2008. While planning for the expo, we started a runway model/brand ambassador search in Atlanta, GA, and recruited a group of PHENOMENAL women who became known as the Fabulous FACES of Curve Appeal.

Those women not only took the city of Atlanta by storm. But they captured the attention of people all over the world. After a successful first Expo, we started a project called the 100 FOCA project to recruit FACES from other cities. The top TEN finalists from that search traveled to Atlanta for our next major event called the Curve Appeal Beauty & Fashion Convention in May 2009. That event was held at the Georgia International Convention Center and welcomed 547 people from all over. After that convention, we officially had FOCA and chapters throughout the country.

During the Annual Curve Appeal Convention (that took place in Las Vegas in October 2010), we officially became a "membership-based", multi-chapter MOVEMENT and started to welcome non-models to join too as "SIS Members" and "Chapter Leaders". The Pink City Sisterhood was born.

Our founding company had a vision of establishing an organization that would strive to motivate and mobilize leaders and decision-makers to change society's discrimination against plus-sized women. And, to UNITE, EMPOWER, EDUCATE, and ENTERTAIN WOMEN and GIRLS in general of all ages and sizes.

In the early years of the movement, we built an elite organization of full-figured and phenomenal teams around the country CITY by CITY to spread the Curve Appeal Movement.

It has since morphed into the longest-running non-Greek Sisterhood (which we call Pink City Sisterhood) and a full-blown international Movement/Alliance whose mission is to empower women with Curve Appeal at all sizes, shapes, and ages to embrace their curves, live a healthy lifestyle and to support others through sisterhood.

Pink City Sisterhood is basically the platform and events that bring together all members and partners and supporters under the Pink City Corp umbrella. This includes the women who participate in our events and campaigns such as our Curvy Girls Slay campaign.

In 2017, PCA re-branded to now be (ALSO/Primarily) known as "The Curvy Alliance". New look. Same mission.

In 2023, the Pink City Corporation is focused on bringing sisters back together post-pandemic, and helping members become

"Boss Up Queens". The goal is to take advantage of the huge platform we have created with over 250,000 followers and to help our member's businesses launch, develop and grow into powerhouse companies and brands with the support of the sisters and our followers.

We are launching the Boss Up Weekend national tour. We are traveling together to some awesome destinations. We are supporting each other's dreams. And as always, we continue to Unite, Empower, Educate and Entertain each other and our supporters.
